County Louth is located in the north-east corner of the Republic of Ireland. Louth is Ireland's smallest county but contains a diverse landscape from the mountainous Cooley peninsula in the east to the gently rolling drumlin hills. Visitor attractions include Monasterboice, Mellifont Abbey, Knockabbey Castle and Gardens, and the County Museum. Places to stay include Drogheda, Dundalk, Ardee, Castlebellingham, Carlingford, and Omeath.
Getting Around Louth
Louth is located about an hours' drive north of Dublin, and under an hour south of Belfast. There are railway stations at Dundalk and Drogheda, both on the Dublin-Belfast line.
